Apple to update the entire iPad lineup in 2024

Apple is planning to update its entire lineup of iPad tablets in 2024, according to Bloomberg. This means that next year, we could see new models of iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad mini, and the standard iPad on the market. The company’s decision to refresh the iPad lineup comes after a year without any new tablet releases, which has negatively impacted Apple’s profits. In an attempt to increase revenue, Apple has been raising prices and increasing the cost of subscriptions for some of its services.

Gurman also revealed that in 2024, Apple Watch will receive two new sensors: one for measuring arterial pressure and another for monitoring sleep apnea. This update will enhance the health-tracking capabilities of the popular smartwatch.

According to MacRumors, the last updates for each iPad model occurred as follows: the iPad Pro and standard iPad were last refreshed in October 2022, the iPad Air was updated in March 2022, and the iPad mini received its most recent update in September 2021.

Previously, Gurman had mentioned that the budget and mid-range iPad models might see updates as early as March 2024. He also expects that new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models, featuring the M3 chip and OLED displays, will be released in the first half of 2024. The next iPad Air and iPad mini models are likely to be equipped with the M2 chip and A16 Bionic chip, respectively.
