MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Processor to Outperform Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in Performance

The new MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor promises to be a powerful competitor to the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. According to the Geekbench 6 benchmark results (shared by insider Digital Chat Station), a smartphone based on the Dimensity 9200+ scored 2121 points in the single-core test and 5655 points in the multi-core test, while the Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate (one of the most powerful smartphones currently available) with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor scored 1992 and 5641 points respectively.

Currently, it is known that the new MediaTek chip is based on 8 cores: 1 Cortex-X3 super core with a clock speed of 3.35 GHz, 3 Cortex-A715 cores with a clock speed of 3.0 GHz, and 4 Cortex A-510 cores with a clock speed of 2.0 GHz. These features indicate that the Dimensity 9200+ processor has a high performance capable of providing fast smartphone operation with a large number of applications and high-quality graphics.

The official presentation of the Dimensity 9200+ is scheduled for May 10, and the first smartphone based on the new processor will be, according to rumors, the iQOO Neo 8 Pro. Recently, unconfirmed information has emerged that the iQOO Neo 8 Pro smartphone has broken the AnTuTu benchmark record, scoring 1.368 million points.
